Cellular Hydration with Hydrogen Health
In this post, I’ll be diving into the details of the force that sustains each and every one of us as well as one of my most favoured health investments from the ever-inspiring, Hydrogen Health.
What comes to mind when you think of the word water?
The life-force element that sustains all living things? Cellular vitality and renewal? The molecular substance responsible for healthy DNA and metabolic functioning? Purity? Hydration? Optimal functioning of the body and all of its processes?
Perhaps you may resonate more closely with the signs of a lack of it;
skin that appears lackluster — dry, cracked lips and skin that feels tight and depleted of elasticity and moisture.
dull eyes — tired, unclear and lacking brightness with dark undereye circles.
impaired cognitive functioning — clouded thinking, reduced focus, difficulty articulating and poor concentration.
lethargic and depleted energy — fatigue, headaches and irritability.
reduced regularity and inability to perspire — liquid deficiency inhibits the body’s natural processes of expelling toxins.
If the latter is a common experience for you, I hope you’ll find this post a compelling nudge to ensuring that you are optimally hydrated and nourishing your body to the fullest extent.
Lets dive in.
The use of water is one of the foundational aspects of natural health; its healing properties have been revered since the beginning of time.
Its ability to restore, revitalise and replenish the body through various methods is nothing short of miraculous. Even Hippocrates, the “father of modern medicine”, wrote extensively of its remedial uses a mere 460 years before the birth of Christ.
Whilst there is variation in the exact percentage of water that our bodies are made of, it is generally estimated to be between 50-75%. A figure that goes to show just how vital it is for us to simply exist.
With more and more research revealing the phenomenal nature of water and its importance in our lives, it’s a topic that is rightfully gaining greater attention. I’m sure you’ve likely come across the word ‘hydrotherapy’ at some point with the use of ice-baths and cold plunges taking the world by storm. Even though this method of recovery is remarkable, it’s not the only way that water is used to restore, heal and support the body. There are many avenues to explore and aspects to dive into but more importantly, we need to consider the quality of the water we drink.
This leads us to the significance of proper, optimal hydration.
For the most part, we all have a basic understanding of water; it is comprised of one oxygen and two hydrogen molecules. However, this does not make all water equal. Water can differ in many ways, from purity to structure to pH. This is important to consider as we want to ensure that we are replenishing our bodies with the most optimal quality water available to us.
There are two main functions of water; to act as solvent for essential nutrients and to transport nutrients and oxygen to the cells, removing waste material in the process. Other key functions include; giving shape to cells, regulating body temperature, lubricating joints and cushioning certain organs.
With its presence within the cellular functioning of our bodies there is no denying its significance to a healthy, functioning system.
Miraculously, simply restructuring the molecular bonds can have a profound impact on the way water interacts with our body cells.
This is where hydrogenated water comes into the picture.
By splitting H2O into hydrogen gas, an antioxidising effect is created within the body. This H2 supports the body’s natural functioning of combating free radicals and oxidative stress.
Put briefly, free radicals are positively charged, unstable ions that are capable of causing cellular damage within the body. Since they are unstable, they seek to regain balance by ‘stealing’ an electron from other cells which in turn creates a snowball effect of imbalance; a process that can speed up the aging of cells and even cause damage to DNA. A negatively charged ion, however, combats this by donating an electron and ‘neutralising’ it.
Hydrogenated water is an ultra bio-available form of negatively charged ions, rich in antioxidant properties to repair cellular damage and restore balance.
Hydrogen Health, founded by biomedical engineer, Josh Hiam, is a company devoted to elevating the health of its customers through optimal hydration. Backed on 40 years of water research and science, Josh has meticulously designed and developed a range of health enhancing hydration tools to improve the quality of water that we consume on a daily basis.
After using this brand for many years now, I am delighted to share a deeper insight with you.
One of Hydrogen Health’s remarkable products is the Hydrogen Health Water Bottle.
It’s a portable, potent source of hydration that delivers a healthful dose of cellular support. Developed with unrivalled functionality and design the bottle is composed of medical grade stainless steel, pure platinum electrodes and advanced filtering systems to extract impurities, restructure and remineralise.
Through a process of electrolysis and filtration (including the use of Far InfraRed Rays and Bio-Mineralisation) the molecular structure of H2O transforms. Infused with H2, this restructured hydrogenated water becomes richly antioxidising with molecules so small they are able to diffuse into every organ and cell of the body, cross the blood-brain barrier and reach the mitochondria of our cells.
Being the main carrier of all bio-electric signals generated by the body, a coherent hexagonal form of the water itself ensures that it is able to store and share information optimally; supporting the healthy functioning of DNA, enzyme reactions and metabolic processes.
Its energetically charged nature, rich in negative ions and minerals, provides a potent dose of molecular hydrogen to help support the body’s detoxification processes, protect vital organs, improve cellular functionality, suppress inflammation and support collagen production.
As you can see, water is far more complex under the surface. Thankfully, Josh’s team have done a tremendous job at making it incredibly simple for us with quite literally, the click of a button.
Testimony
After several years using the Hydrogen Health Water Bottle I can wholeheartedly say how much I adore this water.
You can expect to delight in the refreshing taste of water as nature intended — it’s pure, structured hydration and in fact, exactly what the team at Hydrogen Health aspired to achieve.
It has been my daily go-to and interstate/overseas travel essential for clean, bio-available water at any time.
The energising and revitalising effect I’ve found hydrogenated water has on my body is unparalleled. I feel a greater sense of clarity and mental focus and I find the high concentration of bio-active hydrogen enhances my energy levels and leaves my skin clear and nourished.
Not to mention, the profound difference in taste and composition. There is a clear distinction when comparing hydrogenated water, particularly since it is noticeably cleansed of impurities like chlorine.
I’ve purchased this bottle for family members as well and they too have been wildly impressed by its ability to transform water and the effects they have felt for themselves. Increased vitality, clarity, energy and radiant skin to name just a few. I can vouch for it as an essential in any health enthusiasts’ toolkit.
As one of my most treasured health investments, I hold Hydrogen Health in such a high regard; it is a brand that truly shines when it comes to making pure, optimal water so easily accessible.

tips for enhancing hydration
If some of this information is new to you, you’ll be pleased to know that there are many simple steps you can take to enhance your hydration.
I’ve listed a few here and encourage you to continue your search, exploring as much as you can.
Filtered Water
This is an absolute must if you want to take your health seriously.
Nowadays, tap water is often riddled with a plethora of impurities and contaminates, in varying degrees dependent on where you live.
Chlorine, chloride, heavy metals, flouride, herbicides and pesticides from agricultural run-off, sediments, microorganisms, endocrine disruptors and industrial discharges are just some of the harmful substances found in our water. These contaminates can affect the body in many ways and wreak havoc on your internal health. If this isn’t frightening enough, recent testing has found shocking levels of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in the tap water of many regions across Australia, even reaching as far as Rottnest Island. Labelled as ‘forever chemicals’, the guidelines in Australia for these toxic, and even carcinogenic, substances have been set at 560 parts per trillion for PFOA and 70 parts per trillion for PFOS — an absurd rate140 times higher than the benchmark of 4 parts per trillion in the United States.
Boiling water won’t solve this either; in many cases it can even heighten the effects of some chemicals.
Fortunately, there are options to try to alleviate our exposure to poor quality drinking water. Some options include filtering the entire household water supply, benchtop filtration systems like ceramic water filters or systems easily fitted directly to your kitchen tapware. Of course, Hydrogen Health has already created a standout solution, offering a benchtop filtration system that provides clean, hydrogenated water at your convenience. You can explore their Multistage Benchtop Hydrogen Water Filter here.
Opt for Warmer Water
If you’re inclined to drink ice-cold water you’ll be intrigued to know that this can impact digestion and even the absorption of H20. Chilled water has a constricting effect that reduces the rate that H20 is absorbed and you may likely find that it causes your digestive system to slow down, especially if consumed just prior to, during or after eating. Simply drinking water at a warmer temperature allows the cells in the digestive system to absorb it at a higher rate and it also means that the body can avoid diverting extra energy in order to heat it. Obviously this is not a deal-breaker and many days, particularly under the Australian sun, will surely call for refreshing, chilled water but it is an easy swap to implement. Opt for cool or room-temperature water (at least half an hour before or after meals to avoid disrupting digestion) and see how you feel.
Glass
This is your cue to get your hands on a glass bottle and quit drinking from anything made of plastic. If the taste isn’t enough to convince you, I encourage you to research BPA and PFAS and I’m sure the alarming studies will quickly change your mind.
Food as Hydration
Not to forget, a vital source of nourishment and hydration comes from water-rich foods. Support your body’s intake through fresh, naturally grown produce such as lettuce, cucumber, tomato, celery, melons, kiwi fruit, pineapple and grapefruit as well as freshly pressed juices for extra cellular nourishment. Reap the rewards of this extra hydration through radiant, clear skin and a healthy, harmonious internal environment.
